Youngs Beer Finings contain the clearing agent Chitosan produced commercially by deacetylation of Chitin, the structural element in the Exoskeleton of Crustaceans such as shrimps or crabs - (the seaside variety I trust!) which has a long history for use in winemaking and is approved for European use by EU and OIV standards, it certainly clears Beer effectively too and brings forward the all important RTDT (Ready To Drink Time) I always keep at least 5 x 35g sachets in reserve, each will treat 5 gallons (23 litres) . . . . Clear
